Foundation for Breast Cancer Care Gala Dinner Wagga Wagga
Join us in Wagga Wagga for our Gala Dinner
Black Tie with a touch of PINK.
The FFBCC has prioritised the raising of awareness of the plight of marginalised women including regional women. The board has chosen to focus on supporting the lack of resources allocated to women in regional areas.
This year the board has chosen Wagga as an indicator of what can be achieved in a regional area. The money raised at this important social event will be used to directly fund research focussing on service levels and outcomes over varying demographics. Futhermore, the funds will be used to influence treatment patterns and resource projects in regional areas.
The FFBCC is also funding research into the regional adoption of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for appropriate breast cancer patients. This has been shown to improve survival rates and current data indicates that there may be a poorer uptake of this treatment in regional areas for unknown reasons. Again this research will directly benefit women in remote and regional demographics.
The gala dinner will be held on the 10th October at the International Hotel, Wagga Wagga. The premier venue in the region.
The event will provide a unique opportunity for the foundation to connect with the community in Wagga Wagga and raise much needed funds and awareness.
We thank the on-going support of our ambassador, John Mangos who will be hosting this glamorous evening. The entertainment will be provided by local talent, Jamie Way and Clare Brassil.
